Week 4

On Thursday night, San Antonio visited Denver in a tight game that came down to the wire. The Gunslingers "Bounty Hunter" defense came up with a goal line stand with 1 minute remaining, to preserve a 20-14 victory over the Gold. S.A. 3-1, Den 1-3

The first of Sunday afternoon's games kicked off in Birmingham. The visiting Maulers handed the Stallions their 4th straight defeat of the season in a close one, 21-19. PIT 3-1, BIRM 0-4

Chicago traveled to Michigan Sunday afternoon, and the Blitz made the most of their visit, winning their first game of the season. Terrell Owens had 128 yards receiving and 3 TD's for the Blitz in the 42-24 win. "I told you we'd win if you put the ball in my hands more", said Owens in his post-game press conference. CHI 1-3, MICH 2-2

In the late Sunday afternoon game it took overtime to decide the winner. Boston kicked a field goal in the extra period to win 30-27. BOS 3-1, NJ 1-2-1

The Sunday night contest was really no contest at all. A quite first half gave way to Washington putting up 17 unanswered points to earn the first shutout of the season, 17-0 over the hometown Bulls. WASH 2-1-1, JAX 2-2

Monday night saw Oakland beat Arizona in a barnburner. As Dan Patrick would say, this contest was a BCW, or Bathroom Can Wait event. Oakland held on to win 41-35. OAK 3-1, ARIZ 2-2
